here comes the rain

this past weekend the fall colours were at their peak here on the west coast of newfoundland. the forcast calls for rain all this coming week. so yesterday i spent outside. picking the rest of the spearmint and lemon balm and chamomile. digging up the onions and setting them out to dry. and spinning and dyeing.

Gorgeous scenery! The leaves are beginning to show change here in Northwest Arkansas. I live in a town nestled in the hills that make up the Ozark Mountains, so I can just look up the hill side my house is on and see spurts of orange and red showing through. Our first frost is forecast for this weekend, so I need to go pick the last of the tomatoes (still green) and the herbs to dry for the colder months. I can't believe summer is gone already.
