winter's icey grip

i moved to newfoundland (from southern ontario)in may 1975. there was still snow in the woods and i cried. spring comes late here. it starts and stumbles. it's slow and awkward and then it's summer. yesterday we had snow. the crocus were like pursed lips.

I've been lurking on your blog for a bit now. I am a newfie who now lives in Toronto and I have really enjoyed your blog. It has made me homesick for sure but I love your pictures and your little stories. Sorry to hear about the snow, I remember the first time we moved away about 13 years ago and going camping on the 24th of may and being told that no I didn't need to bring any extra warm clothes in case of snow, "what was I mental". I love that we get spring/summer early here but damn I miss the ocean and the sea breeze on warm days. Anyway love your blog and just wanted to say hi.
